Audit Lead, Data Audit Group [Full-time, Exempt, Remote]
Location: Remote
The Audit Lead is responsible for planning, executing and managing audits according to predetermined project scope, CMS protocols, and budget(s). Managing audit execution / processes and ensuring quality control throughout the entire audit life cycles are central to this position. Responsibilities:
- Project
- Project management: lead / manage audit engagements from inception to closure on day-to-day basis
- Accountable for audit results including all aspects of audit and work plans: timeframe, milestones, and reports
- Work with audit stakeholders to develop work plans outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, and timeline to identify when each task will be completed ensuring audit is completed on time and on budget
- Identify and raise any issues for team to resolve during audit life cycle
- Effectively manage/monitor status of all audit tasks, deliverables and advise VP of any significant variations
- Responsible for audit oversight including tracking and reporting on audit milestones and providing status report(s) to client
- Support development and design of report formats including key questions to be addressed and all supporting documentation needed to assure key deliverables are met
- Measure results based upon defined criteria and completion of post-project evaluation to determine if results were achieved
- Develop tools and best practices for audit management and execution
- Ensure that proper project close down procedures have been followed and documents appropriately archived upon project completion
- Team
- Responsible for communicating audit work plans, policies, purposes, and goals to audit team members and stakeholders in a timely manner
- Lead audit team members on a proactive basis for successful outcomes
- Client
- Act as an intermediary between client, stakeholders and team members
- Other areas
- Provide some supervision of team members on specific projects
- Additional ad hoc responsibilities as assigned
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ work experience in project management, healthcare, operations, auditing, compliance and or consulting
Salary range
$70,000 – $80,000
Attributes and interpersonal skills
Experience executing all project management phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closure.
- Effective time management for projects including prioritizing, planning and delegating tasks as needed to ensure projects reach completion on time
- Ability to effectively analyze data and complex issues
- Ability to exercise appropriate judgment and effectively organize / prioritize work and multitask
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Technical skills
- Demonstrated capabilities in managing audits / large projects
- Ability to quickly learn other systems or software such as Microsoft Office
