Barbee has supported crucial business transformation initiatives and major technology implementations for premier national insurers, health plans and provider organizations. Throughout his notable career, he has successfully guided healthcare organizations in implementing transformative initiatives. He directed a multi-year technical strategic plan for a major regional Blue Cross Blue Shield plan, conducted operational and technological assessments for the implementation of Medicaid programs at a Blue affiliate, and led a multimillion-dollar, multi-year implementation of major clinical systems for a hospital chain.
Across these initiatives, Barbee consistently demonstrated the ability to guide organizations in the application of technology to reduce administrative costs, substantially enhance organizational efficiency, and maximize technology investments.
Barbee has held leadership roles at Ernst and Young and Deloitte, and served as the leader of major implementation teams for technology organizations including Perot Systems and McKesson Corporation.
He is a graduate of the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Business Control Systems. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
